This starter takes me right back to my childhood. In England, ‘prawn cocktail’ made a comeback in the late 80’s, after being a big hit in the 1970’s. Why not bring it back as a retro starter for new year’s eve?! It’s simple to make and really delicious with fresh ingredients.
All you need: prawns, shredded iceberg lettuce, prawn cocktail sauce (an equal mix of ketchup and mayonnaise), slice of lemon to garnish, that’s it! Fresh diced pineapple is optional, as is a sprinkling of chives on top.
